TEHRAN, Iran — Iran’s official IRNA news bureau maintains gunmen have taken and killed two guards at an outpost over the nation’s southeastern border with Pakistan.
Tuesday’s report states that the shields and the attackers, whom IRNA defined as terrorist suspects, traded gun fire for just two hours at the border-crossing before dawn Tuesday.
Mirjaveh is in state of Sistan and Baluchistan, where by forces and Baluch militants participate on occasional clashes. On Monday, Iran claimed security forces had seized a whole lot of firearms and pollutants .
Security forces also frequently clash with drug traffickers from the province, which is based on a major smuggling route for heroin and opium.
