A 5-magnitude earthquake hits northern Pakistan

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit northern parts of Pakistan today, with no reports of casualties or damage.

The epicenter of the quake was 17 kilometers deep in Manjora district of Swat valley in northwest Pakistan, the Meteorology and Geological Survey of Pakistan said.

The quake was felt in Swat Valley and most of the Khyber region of Pakhtunkhwa and parts of Punjab province.
