Britain calls on North Korea to stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on Saturday urged North Korea to abide by UN resolutions and stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

The Pyongyang regime warned on Saturday that it was prepared to respond with nuclear weapons to any similar attack it might target in an indirect response to US President Donald Trump and staged a massive military show to show its strength.

North Korea is under a series of sanctions imposed by the UN Security Council over its nuclear and ballistic missile programs. Tensions have risen on the peninsula in recent weeks, and the South Korean Defense Ministry announced that North Korea failed on Sunday to conduct a new missile test
