Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga said Tuesday that his coalition would not participate in the re-election of the proposed presidential election on Oct. 17 unless it received “legal and constitutional” guarantees.

“You can not expect different results if you make the same mistake twice,” he told reporters.

The Kenyan Supreme Court on Friday ordered the re-election on Aug. 8 in 60 days, saying President Ohuru Kenyata’s victory was marred by irregularities in the election process.
