CAIRO (Reuters) – Egyptian security forces have thwarted an attempted attack on a church just outside of Cairo, state television said on Saturday.
State television did not report if a bomb was successfully detonated or if the attempt resulted in any injuries.
Egyptian churches have become the target of militants in recent years, with attacks often claimed by Islamic State.
