Sun rise, Fla. — A Muslim civil rights group has been blasting President Donald Trump and his administration, declaring his policies and words caused a sharp increase in strikes and bias from American Muslims in 2017.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations stated the range of despise crimes and noted episodes of crimes, bullying, harassment as well as additional actions of bias versus Muslims both equally jumped 15 percentage in 2017. The team blames the president, notably his drive to ban immigrants from several Muslim-majority nations for the increase.
The report says, “Trump’s xenophobic rhetoric … emboldened people who hunted expressing their own anti-Muslim bias and given a veneer of validity to bigotry.”
The White House didn’t immediately answer a petition comment.
