Injury in Newham shooting: Boys, 14 and 17, seriously damage in London hospital

Two explosions occurred on Monday night in an area inside Myanmar near the border with Bangladesh, accompanied by heavy gunfire and heavy black smoke amid continuing violence, the Russian satellite channel Russia Today reported.

Bangladesh border guards said a woman lost her leg in an explosion 50 meters inside Myanmar territory and was taken to Bangladesh for treatment.

The latest wave of violence in Rakhine State in northwest Myanmar has killed 400 people.

Recent violence has left 90,000 Rohingya Muslims fleeing to neighboring Bangladesh. Rights groups say the Myanmar army is trying to force the Rohingya to flee with a burning and killing campaign.

Myanmar’s majority Buddhist treatment of the 1.1 million Muslims of Rohingya represents the biggest challenge to Myanmar President Aung San Suu Kyi, who Western critics accuse of not speaking out on behalf of the oppressed Muslim minority.
