Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the were Volcan Minera (LM:), which rose 5.13% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Bco Continenta (LM:) added 3.42% or 0.140 points to end at 4.240 and Atacocha (LM:) was up 2.50% or 0.010 points to 0.410 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cerro Verde (LM:), which fell 5.70% or 1.300 points to trade at 21.500 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:) declined 5.00% or 0.006 points to end at 0.114 and Trevali Mining (LM:) was down 3.28% or 0.020 points to 0.590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.28% or 0.020 to 0.590.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.01% or 0.01 to $70.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $74.43 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1247.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.08% to 3.2705, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.8241.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.57.
