The Independent: The British government authorizes Kingdom’s passports to France or Germany

The new British passport, which is seen as a symbol of independence after exiting the European Union, will be made in Germany and France, the Independent newspaper reported.

The newspaper added that two foreign companies, together with the British company “De La Rue” were selected by the English Ministry of the Interior for the manufacture of new passports before leaving the United Kingdom to the European Union in March 2019, to be selected one of them.

The British government, the £ 450 million contract, launched the article 50 in March, and the winner is expected to be announced by next Christmas.

British blue passports were first issued in 1920, and for older generations, blue will remain the primary color of the passport.
