Top Facebook Strategist to Step Down

Elliot Schrage,

is stepping down following a few years at the Social Media giant.

Mr. Schrage has ever been one of the critical architects of face-book ’s strategy for a variety of controversies on the past two decades, including most recently the company’s answer to information which the political firm Cambridge Analytica badly gained statistics on 87 million face-book customers.

Mr. Schrage discussed leaving the business a couple of decades ago, a company spokeswoman said, however, remained on after scrutiny of face-book intensified after 2016 presidential elections. He will be on hand to search for his successor and also will continue to inform top executives, including Chief Executive

after he steps down, the spokeswoman said.

“Leading communications and policy to get self-improvement technology organizations is really a delight –but it’s also intense and leaves very little space for much else,” Mr. Schrage explained in a Facebook article declaring the decision Thursday.

At a face-book comment for the article, Ms. Sandberg called Mr. Schrage “one of the absolute most creative and tactical people I have labored with. ”
