Trump: New sanctions against North Korea “a small step”

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday described sanctions unanimously approved by the United Nations Security Council yesterday as a “small step” for North Korea.

“We believe that this is just another small step, which is not important,” Trump said in remarks from the White House during a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razeq, quoted by CNN. “These sanctions are nothing compared to what will happen. It happens in the end. ”

The UN Security Council on Monday evening unanimously adopted a resolution imposing new sanctions on North Korea for its test of a hydrogen bomb on September 3. All members of the Council, including Russia and China, voted to adopt the document
