LONDON (Reuters) – British police said on Thursday they were responding to an incident outside the restaurant in Salisbury where former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter dined before being poisoned, Sky News reported on Thursday.
“We are currently dealing with an incident in Castle Street, Salisbury, involving a man in his 30s,” Wiltshire police were quoted as saying by Sky News.
“Given the ongoing incident in Salisbury and Amesbury, we are taking highly precautionary measures to ensure public safety,” police added.
Last week British police said two people from a town near Salisbury had been poisoned by the same nerve agent, Novichok, that affected the Skripals.
